(tickets sold for $1 each and then used to purchase food and drink throughout the event – no other costs to attend!!!)

Meet Coach Brian Simpson

 

 

What team do you coach? Baseball
How long have you been at Mann? 5 years 
What brought you to Mann? The chance to coach great student athletes.
What is the most important quality you look for in an athlete? Hard work.
Where did you go to college and what did you study? Anderson (Liberal Arts) and USC Spartanburg (Physical Education)
What do you do in your free time? Work on the field and relax with my family.
How would you describe yourself in one word? Stubborn
Name the person who has influenced you the most and why? My Grandfather. He taught me about hard work.
If you had one super power, what would it be? Mind control.

What sports do you play? Lacrosse
What is your favorite thing about your sport? its different from every other sport, and it can get rough
Where do you want to go to college?  im attending the  University of South Carolina
What do you do in your free time? hangout with my friends, basically anything as long as im entertained
How would you describe yourself in one word? 
Name the person who has influenced you the most and why? Coach Schumacher, her yelling always gets me pumped up for games and makes me want to be a better player. 
If you had one super power, what would it be? invisible so i could do secret things

What year are you at Mann? Senior

What sports do you play? Baseball
What is your favorite thing about your sport? We’re down a run with a man in scoring position in the bottom of the 7th. I’m up to bat and I come through for my team and hit a walk off homerun to win the game. I Live For That!
Where do you want to go to college? Tallahassee Community College
What do you do in your free time? Fishing, watching MLB Network, hanging out with friends, teammates, and working on my game.
How would you describe yourself in one word? DRIVEN!
Name the person who has influenced you the most and why? My Dad, he introduced and taught me the game of baseball. He also taught me that life, religion and baseball are all relative. And always stay humble in your success.
If you had one super power, what would it be? It would have to be SUPER SPEED!

Former Patriot Blakely Mattern, a Senior Soccer star at USC, has been chosen as a top 10 finalist for the Lowe's Senior Class Award for Soccer.
 
Blakely's character and commitment to academics, as well as her leadership on the field, qualified her for this award. 1/3 of the final judging will be decided by fan votes.
